About Our Speakers

Sharad Bharadwaj
Consultant at Energy & Environmental Economics

Sharad Bharadwaj

Sharad graduated with a BS in ERE in 2014, and a coterm in 2015. After graduating, he joined Energy and Environmental Economics (E3), a consulting firm headquartered in San Francisco. His work focuses on wholesale operations and bulk system planning in energy markets, and exploring how evolving technologies affect the energy and climate policies that will help us achieve midcentury decarbonization. His firm works with a wide range of clients in the energy space, with most of his experience being with electric utilities and state agencies.

Julia Foster
Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG)

Julia Foster

Julia graduated from Stanford with a BS ('15) and MS ('16) in Energy Resources Engineering and was a member of their track and cross country teams.  She began her career in Dallas, TX at IOG Capital, an upstream oil and gas private equity firm.  She then worked in oil and gas operations engineering with Scout Energy Partners before transitioning to her current role as a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. She loves going for runs and playing with her dog Grady.

Garrett Fowler
Chief Operating Officer at ResFrac Corporation

Garrett Fowler

Garrett is Chief Operating Officer at ResFrac and responsible for client engagement and professional services, leveraging his work experience at both operators and service companies.

Garrett previously served as Vice President of Operations at ResFrac. Prior to joining ResFrac, Garrett was Principal Reservoir Engineer at Tachyus Corporation, where he worked with national oil companies, supermajors, and independents across the world on deploying innovative data science solutions. Prior to Tachyus, Garrett worked as Reservoir Engineer for Occidental Petroleum specializing in waterflood surveillance, piloting, and optimization.

Garrett attended Stanford University, where he received a Master of Science degree in petroleum engineering and a Bachelor of Science with distinction in energy resources engineering. He is an Eagle Scout and multiple-time Ironman finisher.

Molly Hayes
Senior Director of Venues at National Basketball Association (NBA)

Molly Hayes

After graduating from Stanford in 2014, Molly took her ERE problem-solving skills and passion for renewable energy to a less conventional route - sports. She joined the Golden State Warriors organization to help build the Chase Center mixed-use development project, which would become the newest NBA arena located in San Francisco. She worked on entitlements, design coordination, and construction for the Warriors and later for Clark Construction as the general contractor on the project until late 2018 (she debatably was the Warriors' lucky charm as they won the NBA Championship 3x from 2015-2018). Molly then moved to NYC to work for the NBA League office where she has been running the International Venues department for almost 3 years. Her highlights at the NBA have been living in the NBA "Bubble" at Disney last summer, helping to launch the newest professional sports league Basketball Africa League (BAL), and traveling around the world to survey venues. Molly's next adventure begins in November when she will be joining a real estate development company located in San Francisco. In her free time, Molly enjoys road biking, skiing, and attempting to keep her plants alive.
