Description:

We know you're stressed out! This relaxing free-of-charge, interactive midday workshop will give you simple trauma-informed and access-informed mindfulness-based tools and brief exercises. The goal is to help you ground and center yourself, get unstuck from anxiety and confusion, and move forward with compassionate clarity toward your goals. Resilience means connecting to community and building a toolkit of resources you can draw on that can help you anytime and anywhere. All are welcome to join in co-creating mindful community space for deep listening, gentle mindful movement, and Q and A. 

Bio:

Mushim Patricia Ikeda is an internationally-known secular mindfulness and Buddhist teacher working primarily with justice activists and Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) meditation practitioners. A core teacher at East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, California, she is an author whose writing has been published inLion's Roar, Tricycle, Buddhadharma and various anthologies. She is the founding and guiding teacher of EBMC's Practice in Transformative Action, a yearlong program now in its eighth year, providing secular mindfulness training for justice activists and agents of change.
