Annual conference

PhD Pathways is a day-long career education conference for PhD students and postdocs from all disciplines. The conference will take place on Thursday, March 19.

The conference curriculum will help attendees:

  • Identify and articulate their skills and values, tell their stories, and translate those skills and values into meaningful work
  • Learn about career paths beyond academia and how to leverage their skills and experiences in the job search process. PhDs working outside academia will share their career experiences, industry insights, and the paths they took to get to their current positions.
  • Take meaningful steps on their personal job search

This year’s program features over 50 speakers and panelists from industries including biotech, communication, consulting, data science, entrepreneurship, foundations, education, government, and research beyond the professoriate. In addition, we will have workshops on identifying skills, practicing your pitch, and understanding how jobs are created and acquired.

Since the conference is a sequenced curriculum from 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with each session building on the one before, attendees must commit to attending the full day’s program.
