Mike Ming, ’80, MS ‘87 is the recipient of the 2020 Stanford Earth Distinguished Alumni Award. Please join us for a seminar with Mike about his career, life experiences, and reflections since his time at Stanford, and for a Q&A conversation with participants.

Mike Ming is passionate about energy, optimized energy systems, and decarbonization. He is a vocal advocate for increased energy efficiency and affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy resources. With nearly 40 years of industry experience, formerly serving as Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and as the first President of the Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA), Mike’s contributions have generated lasting collaborations between government, industry, and academia to accelerate our global energy system transition.
