Now that conferences and meetings are primarily taking place online, you really need to polish up your Zoom/digital presence in order to keep your audience alert and engaged. This workshop is designed to help you get comfortable presenting research to a remote audience while also giving you insights into your overall effectiveness.
Each participant will have approximately 8 minutes to present some research slides or a poster and another 2 minutes to field online questions from the audience. Constructive feedback from your peer attendees will also be provided following the presentation. For oral presentation, you will be able to show 3-5 slides max. This a great opportunity to practice speaking in a low-risk environment and also make connections with your fellow grads and postdocs in the sciences.
