Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is the nation's largest team-based science competition. I serves as co-chair of the National Science Olympiad’s Earth and Space Science Committee.  Our committee is responsible for the development and supervision of rigorous, standards-based geoscience challenges for 7,400 teams of middle school and high school student in 50 states each year. Our events span topics astronomy, planetary science, geology, glaciology, hydrology, climate, oceanography, meteorology, petrology, paleontology, geography, and remote sensing.

I am also the faculty advisor for the Golden Gate Invitiational, a High School level Science Olympiad invational hosted jointly by student at Stanford and UC Berkeley.
