The School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences is committed to educating a new generation of scholars who will reflect the diversity of intellectual perspectives, life experiences, and cultural backgrounds represented in society today. We offer disciplinary study in the Departments of Energy Resources Engineering, Environmental Earth System Science, Geological and Environmental Sciences, and Geophysics, and interdisciplinary study in the undergraduate Earth Systems Program and the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources (E-IPER) for graduate students.
Any undergraduate student admitted to Stanford may declare a major in one of the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences departments or the interdisciplinary Earth Systems Program by contacting the appropriate department or program office.
Students who wish to enroll for graduate work in the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences must be qualified for graduate standing in the university and must be accepted by one of the school's four departments or E-IPER.
